Position: Midfield
Nickname: Alanzinho
Born: 22.02.1983
Height: -

Listed by: Gaute Reier Jenssen (April 2006)
Comments: Alanzinho has quickly established himself as a crowd favourite
during his short time in Norway. Though short of growth, he has taken to the
Norwegian style of play, and is described by his own fans as a technical and
creative "wizard". I'm personally looking forward to see him when during the
season of 2006, even though he plays for a rival club of my own.

Club: Club: Aalesund FK
City: Aalesund
Name: Dedé Anderson de Oliveira Gomes
Position: Forward
Nickname: Dedé Anderson
Born: 26.05.1980
Height: -
Weight: -
Listed by: Gaute Reier Jenssen (April 2006)
Comments: Dedé Anderson has just arrived in Norway after signing early in
February. He is said to be a real asset and a fantastic forward. The fact
that he snubbed a move to the german Bundesliga to sign for Aalesund has
probably given him status as a hero in his new town already. Will be a
player to watch out for in the season of 2006.

The import of Brazilian players hasn't been a very familiar situation in
Norwegian football. Some have come, but been unable to adjust fast enough to
the style and climate to gain a contract. Two players who had to go home
without an offer was Souza (from Vasco da Gama), who trialed for top flight
club Lyn Oslo a few years ago. The other one was a player with the very
notable name Creedence Clearwater Couto, who didn't suit the bill at
Alanzinho's club Stabæk Fotball, and left the country this week. As
Norwegian style of play is very different from the Brazilian way, with far
less focus on the personal skills and more on the team play, I guess it's
not that big of a surprise that we've only got two Brazilians in the top flight. But still,
these to have already shown that they can add a great dimension
to our league, and I'm looking forward to seeing the famous samba football
in the cold spring weather here up north!
Yours sincereley,
Gaute Reier Jenssen
